And it begins...

Yesterday was the first day of doing P90x. I have been preparing for this workout for two weeks. I have no more processed food in my house, which, I am very proud to say. I never knew I could accomplish not having snacks around to munch on, but actually, it's a good feeling. Yes, occasionally, I want to drop in on some fast food joint and get some nasty drippy burger BUT I wont.  I am getting real good at making protein shakes in the morning. I have been making both Joel and I a shake every morning for the past two weeks. Protein is a very powerful taste to hide, but I have been able to make some good tasting fruity shakes.

Yesterday was "Chest an Back" and I couldn't do much of the pull up exercises because I have no upper body strength at all. I need to invest in some resistence bands so I can subsitute having to do pull ups. Joel did very well with his work out, but I think he pushed himself to  the limit of almost barfing, but in the end he survived. I felt good about the workout. I am a little sore today, but feel good about the soreness, so does Joel.

Tonight is suppose to be "Plyometrics" and I am totally pumped, but scared at the same time. Right now, Joel and I are watching the Happening with Mark Walberg. I will write to tell you if I survived tonight's workout.

Happy Cesar Chavez Day.
