Josh's 22nd Birthday

Today, we celebrated Josh's 22nd birthday. Joel and I drove up from Santa Cruz, from watching Katie, to join the rest of the family to enjoy some fun together. We were in charge of making our 6 layer dip. Everyone loves this, but it's a shame that people tend to get full off from it and all the other well prepared food isn't eaten. I must admit it is a very tasty dip, but eat too much and you will feel guilty from all the heavy ingredients, for this reason, it is only made on special occasions.

We started off the birthday party with preparations of the dip, at Joel's parent's house. Josh and Sarah prepared the trip tip on the grill and Grandma Lina made the chicken. Once all the food was prepared, we sat down at the table and ate. Though, like I said before, the people who ate our dip before the main dish, were all full and could not eat much afterwards. The trip-tip came out perfectly marinated and tasted delicious.

It was a gorgeous, to nearly perfect day, so we took a table in the backyard and played Loaded Questions. It is a board game that Sarah and Josh got me for Christmas this last year. It is so much fun to play, you never know what answers will be revealed and who said them. We played the board game outside and yours truly won. I know the boys
too well, and Sarah, well she is not as...polluted as the rest of us, so her answers are easily figured out.

When we were done playing, we picked at some more food, and decided we should move the party to  my apartment. Joel and I left a little early to tidy up our place, and Josh, Sarah, and Jorel met us there later on. We watched Marley & Me and Miracle at St. Anna's, while sipping on some homemade brew. Jorel decided to bring his own jug of Sangria, which smelled awful. I made Sarah a scooby snack, and Josh created his own concoction of two simple ingredients. We snacked on bagel bites and popcorn. It was a fun night.

Below is a picture of the gift Joel and I bought Josh. It was a Benchmade Griptillion knife, with a green light weight handle and a black blade (for tactical purposes). Hope he enjoys it as much as Joel would if he owned it.
