Joel turned 25 years old today. I can't belive the time is passing by so fast. I have known Joel for 12 years now. I don't think time is an issue with us, we are behaving as though time is at a stand still. He is truly my best friend and my love.
We had a BBQ today for him in my apartment complex's BBQ area. We had to reserve it in advance. I like this spot a lot, it was very convenient. We cooked lots of food on the barbie and now we have lots of left overs.
Joel got the following gifts:
Zippo lighter with accessories - from Josh (He really liked this gift)
$50 cash - from my mom

New glasses - paid by his parents
Eye Exam - paid by his parents
Fable II (360) - from me

$25 Gift Card (Black Angus) - my cousins
He still has his surprise birthday party to look forward to (well, not actually, since he doesn't know about it yet). I think he was a little bummed that none of his friends were there, but hopefully he will get a kick out of this Saturday.
I still haven't really gotten him anything big for his gift. I really want to get him a .22 caliber rifle, but I had to pay my school tuition. I will have to save a little more $$$ and surprise him with it.
