4th of July Weekend

I had to dogsit, Katie, from Thursday to Sunday. I figured since I was to be in Santa Cruz for the holiday weekend, I might as well invite family to come up and celebrate. My cousins, their friends, Joel, Jorel and I went and enjoyed a nice BBQ at Seacliff National Beach. It was a nice beach with a nice BBQ set up. I didn't take too many pictures because I was enjoying myself with my family. We didn't see fireworks, but got to eat a lot of good food and lay out in the sun. Jorel, Joel and I spent the night at Sasha's and left just a couple of hours a go.

Joel is studying for his AMR test he will be taking this Friday. He applied for a paramedic position, again, but for Alameda County. I know he is a good test taker, but it has been a while since he last worked for EMS. I hope he gets this position because he really hates working for Stanley Steamers. He says it is really hard labor and a VERY dirty job. I am not so sure how dirty it is compared to dealing with people with gangrene and dying of nasty diseases, but he would rather save people's lives than cleaning carpets. I hope he does well.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I am so glad I got to spend it with people I love.
