St Patrick's Day

I got to spend a day with my friend at work. To you it might not be such a huge deal, but in fact Nicole doesn't even let her family come over. She is fearful that we might judge her on her living situation, which I might add is not bad at ALL. I arrived early and she made me one of her famous breakfast shakes. We talked about her mom and Grandpa who recently passed away. It was hard on her for 3 weeks. Both the people that she loved the dearest both passed within a week of each other. It was good to have her talk about it because it helped me when my older brother passed away.

She showed me her Cricut and all the scrap booking accessories she owns. She owns a lot of stuff, and she just inquired it within the last couple of months. The main goal of my trip was to scrapbook, but we ended up prepping the whole time. She reminisced over her, her mom, and her grandpa's pictures she inherited from her mom. I had a great time just hearing her stories and seeing her past in photos. We ate nachos and just talked and talked. Nicole is a very intelligent human being and she is definitely what you want to find in a friend. I'm glad she is one of the attorneys that I get to work with.

I had to leave around 330pm to go to school because I had to hear an author talk about her book for a class. I would have rather stayed at her place. I'm happy we didn't accomplish any scrapping, gives me another reason to re-visit her. =)
