Today, after work at home, Mrs. Coon called me with horrible news. Joel's grandpa (Dad's dad) passed away yesterday. (both of Mr. Coon's parents have left this earth now)
The sad part is I didn't get to meet him when he was alive.
He retired from the Navy and he will have a military funeral. He fought in the Vietnam War and for the most part was a very laid back kind of guy. (Joel says)
I just wish, under the circumstances from which prevented us to be in contact with him, that there weren't any STUPID circumstances!
I wish I could have met him, but I will see him again up there. (not soon, hopefully, but one day)
Our lives must go on, and though our family has shrunk, we will learn from our mistakes and hopefully, add more members to our family. (hopefully, from me, adding as many kids as possible) =)
Please keep the Coon family in your thoughts, as they go through such hard times.
