We had to wake up around 6am to drive to Santa Cruz. There was no traffic so we got there 45 minutes before 8:00am. We hung out in the car until Joel had to leave to take the test. The test was to last for 3 hours. After his running, dragging, and jumping over a 6-8ft wall, Joel had to answer a questionnaire to see if he would pass onto the interview process. (While waiting, I got an oil change and cleaned out my car.)
The questions consisted of drug usage, physical altercations at work, physical fights with members of family, sexual encounters at work place...etc. The officer who reviewed the answers with Joel said he "was a very law abiding citizen". He was approved to go and have an interview 3-10-09. There are only 5 active spots they are hiring for right now and 6-8 spots that are frozen. Pray that Joel will be one of those five. =)
