Today, after a long weekend, I was dreading the fact I had to work and go to school. My Tuesday night class, well, is a bit of a waste of time to attend. My teacher is one of a kind, and has a peculiar form of teaching his methods to us. I was at work and received an email from our
apartment complex announcing a giveaway of 2 San Jose Shark tickets. You had answer the question correctly on the community website. I never win
anything, but I wanted to give it a try to get out of going to my night class.
Question was: "What year did the SJ Sharks start to play for the NHL?"
Of course, I didn't know the answer, so I looked to the web for guidance. Lo and behold, the answer was unveiled to me, I called the office to enter my answer and name for the drawing
. Needless to say, we won the drawing, and went to see the Sharks play.
The game was AWESOME. Our seats were AWESOME. The Oilers were from Canada, and they had a lot to fight about in all three of the periods. We saw lots of rolling around and punching.
Three players were kicked out of the game, one from the Sharks. I heard the more committed advent fans commenting on how this is by far the most fights all season. We won 4 to 2. Since the Sharks scored 4 points, with our stubs, we win free pizza from Round Table. We also both go $10 gift cards from BestBuy just for walking through the front door.
Joel and I had a great time and learned a lot about the game itself. =)
Go Sharks!!!
