Weekend of Events

I was busy this last weekend, not to say I was overwhelmed, but I was definately not sitting at home twittling my thumbs.

1| I had my cousin's housewarming to attend.
2| I was invited to go to my co-workers BBQ in Holister, but didn't
3| Joel had his CHP fitness test in Vallejo, CA
4| I had to help my cousin with her divorce papers
5| I got to plan a day with Julia before she left back to Arkansas
6| I was invited to go to our friends house for BBQ in San Leandro, but didn't
7| I had serious video game playing to do, I want to beat BIOSHOCK

My cousin's housewarming was fun. Joel and I stayed there until 0200 and had lots of food. We talked about things only family and or close friends could talk about.

I was invited to two BBQ's this last weekend, but couldn't go to any of them because I was car-less and/or it was during another event I had planned.

Joel ended up failing his CHP test, not the physical part, but the vision part. He passed all the other tests, but when he had to take off his glasses he was unable to pass the eye exam. He can re-apply in six months, after he has gotten contacts and an updated eye perscription.

I got to spend a day with Julia, Caleb's fiance. We went invitation shopping, where she got a sample and almost died from a HUGE spider hiding underneath a sliver of paper. I tried Russian food for the first time and enjoyed it for lunch. I treated her to a pedi in Santa Row. It was her first and it turned out "fantastic". It was truly a day for "firsts".

The weather was BLAH, but other than that it was a very eventful weekend.
